XenCADtoPDF
A Windows desktop utility for converting DWG and DXF drawings to PDF using your installed CAD application. One-time purchase. Runs on Windows 10 and later.
What it does
Batch plot
Select a folder and plot every drawing to PDF in one operation. Output is written to a separate folder. Source files are not modified.
Named output
Output files are named automatically from the drawing filename and layout name. Each layout plots to its own PDF. A combined mode merges all layouts from a drawing into one document.
Verify
Every output PDF is opened and checked after plotting. A report lists what succeeded, what failed, and what produced an empty or invalid file.
Technical details
- Plotting is performed by your installed CAD application. XenCADtoPDF does not render drawings itself.
- The CAD application runs silently in the background. No CAD window appears during a batch.
- Source drawing files are opened read-only. File timestamps are not modified.
- Output fidelity, linetypes, and plot styles match what your CAD application produces natively.
- Plot settings follow each layout's saved page setup. Paper size, scale, and orientation are not overridden.
- A built-in fallback mode is available when no supported CAD application is installed. Fidelity is lower than the host path.
- All processing runs locally. No cloud connection is required.
What it does not do
- Render drawings at native fidelity without a supported CAD application installed
- Edit, modify, or re-save source drawing files
- Support CAD applications that do not expose an automation API
- Apply OCR or extract searchable text from output PDFs
- Process template files
